SATOS
The illustrations below are taken from a supplement included in the July 1929 timetable of the Chemins de Fer de l'Etat and show the supporting network of bus services that were being developed at the time in support of - and to connect with - the rail services. Some of the services were summer only, some all year round; some were normal stopping services, whilst others were express and limited stop (eg Caen to Rennes). There was also a programme of day excursions like Granville or Dinard to Mont Saint Michel as well as tours varying in length from three to six days. Rouen to Saint Malo was accomplished in three and a half days and there was a five day tour "La Route de Bretagne" starting at Dinard and ending at Vannes.
