Routes 9 - 10 |

These two routes left Dorchester to the west along the A35 road. The emphasis of the 9 was towards Bridport on Tuesdays and Fridays and towards Dorchester on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The 10 was a six days a week operation as far as Winterborne Abbas, extended to Little Bredy on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Lonely Compton Valence, with its handful of inhabitants tucked away in a fold of the Dorset downs, was served on Wednesdays and also the first Saturday of the month.
